The K&M 118/3 Orchestra Music Stand With Shelf is built for professional orchestral musicians, chamber ensembles, pit orchestras, and music educators who need a durable, stage-ready stand with genuine wooden desk construction. The addition of a full-length shelf beneath the music desk is the defining upgrade over the 118/1, giving players a dedicated space for accessories, additional scores, or a tablet without cluttering the stand surface.
The chrome steel base features a socket with foldable legs for fast setup and breakdown in rehearsal halls, concert stages, and touring productions. A prismatic V-block connector ensures a rigid, rattle-free connection between the stand rod and desk plate, which matters in quiet acoustic environments where any mechanical noise is unacceptable. Height adjustment is handled by a non-scratching locking screw, protecting floor surfaces and stage risers. The 2-piece folding rod design collapses the stand to a manageable profile for transport and storage.
Built to K&M's Topline quality standard, this stand addresses the gap between economy wire stands and heavy fixed-position furniture. The wooden desk surface is sized for standard orchestral parts and offers a warm, professional presentation. The 118/3 is available in black wood and walnut wood desk options, allowing conductors and ensemble managers to match the aesthetic of the venue or production.
