The K&M 118/4 Extra High Orchestra music stand is built for professional orchestral and ensemble settings where stability, adjustability, and refined construction are non-negotiable. The die-cast base and foldable socket legs deliver a rock-steady foundation across rehearsal rooms, stages, and touring pit setups. A wide height adjustment range accommodates seated and standing players alike, making the stand equally practical for string players, wind players, and conductors.
The prismatic V-block connector system secures the removable wooden desk firmly to the chrome stand without play or rattle, a critical detail in quiet acoustic environments where any mechanical noise is disruptive. Non-scratching locking screws protect floor surfaces and allow smooth, tool-free height changes between performers. The three-piece folding rod design makes breakdown and transport efficient for orchestras that move between venues.
Finished at K&M's Topline quality level, this stand is a clear step above standard steel-tube music stands in both materials and feel. The premium wooden desk offers a professional aesthetic suited to concert halls and broadcast stages. The desk is removable and attaches via the same V-block interface across the product line, giving orchestras the flexibility to standardize on stands while varying desk finish to match venue or preference.
