The K&M Orchestra Chair series is designed for professional orchestras, pit ensembles, and performing arts venues where seating must meet fire safety standards without sacrificing comfort during long rehearsals and performances. The upholstered seat and backrest use Trevira CS fabric and cushioning that are inherently fire-resistant, not treated after manufacture, making them a reliable choice for venues with strict compliance requirements. The black fabric carries a 100,000-cycle abrasion resistance rating, ensuring the chairs hold up under the demands of daily institutional use.
Both models in the series share a four-legged powder-coated steel tube frame with low-noise plastic glides that protect stage floors and minimize movement sounds during performance. Ventilation holes and breathable foam in the seat prevent heat buildup during extended sessions. The chairs are engineered for efficient storage in professional settings, with stacking protection to prevent damage when chairs are stored between productions. The series is available with fixed height or pneumatic height adjustment, allowing venues and production managers to select the right configuration for their seating needs and performer preferences.
Compared to generic folding or banquet chairs, the K&M Orchestra Chair series delivers the structural integrity, acoustic consideration, and compliance-ready materials that performing arts professionals require. These chairs integrate with compatible K&M stacking racks, making turnover between rehearsal configurations and concert setups fast and organized.
