K&M 13497 Double Bass Holder For Bass Chair | Black

The K&M 13497 is built for orchestral musicians and stage performers who need a reliable, compact solution for parking a double bass during rehearsals or performances. Rather than leaning the instrument against a wall or floor stand, this holder mounts directly to the back rod of the K&M 13460 bass chair, keeping the bass within arm's reach and off the ground where it is most vulnerable to tipping.

The mounting position is adjustable along the rod's height, allowing players to dial in placement that suits their instrument's proportions and their own workflow. The rubberized support cradles the neck without marking the finish, which matters on instruments where surface condition directly affects resale and repairability. Steel construction gives the holder the rigidity needed to hold a full-size double bass securely night after night without flex or fatigue.

For orchestral pits, chamber ensembles, or touring productions where chair and instrument need to function as a single organized unit, the 13497 eliminates improvised solutions and keeps the setup tight. It is a purpose-built accessory for the 13460 chair system, not a universal afterthought.
