The K&M 21160 short boom arm is designed for live sound engineers, AV integrators, and production crews who need a compact, reliable extension option for portable speaker tripod stands. The one-piece steel construction eliminates flex and play common in multi-piece assemblies, making it a dependable choice for stage fills, front-of-house setups, and installed temporary speaker positions where precision placement matters.
The 3/8" threaded connector ensures broad compatibility with standard speaker mounting hardware, while the locking washer and plastic grip combination keeps the boom securely positioned once set. Wing nut clamping allows fast, tool-free height and angle adjustment during load-in and teardown, reducing setup time in time-critical production environments. For touring crews and rental houses that cycle through repeated setups, the straightforward single-piece design means fewer failure points and easier inventory management than articulating or telescoping alternatives.
