The K&M Popkiller is a studio and stage staple designed for engineers and performers who need reliable plosive control without adding bulk to their mic setup. The flexible gooseneck construction allows precise positioning relative to the capsule, while the screw-on mount fits standard microphone stands up to 30 mm rod diameter, making it a practical choice for both installed studio positions and live vocal setups.

Available in two shield sizes, the Popkiller range covers close-mic vocal recording in controlled studio environments as well as broadcast and podcast applications where larger filtering coverage is preferred. The double nylon screen construction provides consistent filtering performance across the range, and the black plastic frame stays visually unobtrusive on camera and in live settings.

Unlike clip-on foam windscreens that degrade over time and alter tone, the Popkiller uses a rigid frame with a durable nylon mesh that maintains its shape and acoustic transparency over extended use. The non-marring locking screw protects the finish of mic stands during repeated repositioning, a detail that matters in shared studio environments and rental inventory scenarios.
