The K&M 24623 Distance Rod is built for live sound engineers and installed audio integrators who need a reliable, height-adjustable pole solution for positioning speaker cabinets above crowds or at projection height. Compatible with base plates featuring M20 threaded bushings, this two-piece folding steel rod handles the structural demands of touring rigs and fixed installs alike, eliminating the flex and instability common in lighter-duty alternatives.
The 35mm tube diameter accepts speaker cabinets fitted with standard flange adapters, making it a direct fit for common top cabinet configurations used in PA systems. Height adjustment is secured by both a locking screw and a safety hook, providing a dual-retention hold that keeps the loaded cabinet fixed under vibration and repeated use. For production teams and integrators who cannot afford post-load slippage, this dual-lock mechanism is a meaningful operational advantage over single-clamp designs.
Available in black and pure white to suit aesthetic requirements in both touring and permanent installation environments, the K&M 24623 series gives professionals a finish option without compromising the steel construction or load rating that the application demands.
