The K&M 25530 is a heavy-duty telescopic boom arm designed for engineers and production teams who need extended microphone reach beyond what a standard boom allows. Its 2-piece telescopic construction adjusts from 870 to 1,550 mm, making it practical for overhead drum miking, theatrical sound reinforcement, broadcast setups, and any application where the microphone must clear obstacles or reach a distant source.
Unlike fixed-length or lightweight boom arms that sacrifice rigidity for portability, the 25530 is built from steel with a T-bar locking screw clamping system that holds position under the weight of heavier microphone configurations. The included adjustable counterweight keeps the arm balanced across its full range of extension, reducing stress on the stand thread and preventing unwanted drift during a set or recording session. The 3/8" threaded connector ensures compatibility with a wide range of stands and adapters used in professional mic stand ecosystems.
