The K&M 26700.000.76 is a flat round cast iron base designed for use with M20 threaded distance rods and rod combinations, providing a low-profile, high-mass foundation for professional microphone positioning systems. The 450mm diameter footprint distributes the load of tall or extended rod configurations without tipping risk, making it a reliable choice for orchestral recording, broadcast studios, choir miking rigs, and installed AV environments where mic placement must remain fixed and stable over long sessions.
At 6.7 kg, the grey cast iron construction delivers the mass needed to anchor multi-section distance rod systems without requiring additional ballast or weighting. Felt strips are included to protect hardwood stages, studio floors, and finished surfaces from scratching, a detail that matters in venue installs and rental environments where floor damage carries real cost. The optional K&M 26751 carrying case is available separately for crews who transport this base between locations.
