K&M 26706 Heavy-Duty Steel Base Plate For Speaker Stands | Structured Black

The K&M 26706 Heavy-Duty Steel Base Plate is designed for audio integrators, touring engineers, and installation teams who need a reliable, load-rated platform for column arrays, speaker cabinets, and distance rods in permanent or portable setups. The plate provides three discrete M20 female thread positions: a centered thread for balanced vertical loads, an eccentric thread for small to medium off-centered configurations, and a corner thread for heavier off-centered applications. This flexibility allows a single base to serve a wide range of pedestal and load scenarios without requiring separate hardware purchases.

Despite its slim profile, the base is constructed from steel and carries a maximum load capacity of 77 pounds depending on the tubes used. An integrated handle simplifies repositioning on stage or in an installed environment, and the same handle opening facilitates cable routing through the base, keeping signal paths clean without additional cable management hardware. Four felt-covered feet protect finished floors and reduce vibration transmission in permanent installs.

For integrators spec-ing permanent installations or production teams managing portable speaker systems, the 26706 offers a practical alternative to tripod stands where floor space, sightlines, or aesthetic requirements demand a low-profile solution. Available in two finish options to match venue decor or production aesthetics.
