The K&M 26740 is engineered for engineers and integrators who need a rock-solid stationary stand for near-field monitors and loudspeakers in studio, broadcast, or installed AV environments. The large round cast-iron base delivers a low center of gravity and eliminates the wobble common to lightweight tripod designs, making it the appropriate choice when a monitor must stay exactly where it is placed across long sessions or permanent installs.
The steel rod assembly uses a 2-piece folding design that adjusts across a practical height range and locks in position via a locking screw with a safety hook, preventing unintended movement after positioning. The 205 x 245 mm support plate provides four thread points and four rubber knobs to secure the monitor firmly without marring its cabinet. Direct attachment is possible through the 3/8" threaded bolt, eliminating the need for an adapter plate when the monitor supports that connection method.
Where wire-frame or pressed-steel stands compromise stability to save cost, the K&M 26740 Topline construction prioritizes mass and rigidity. The 35 kg load rating accommodates a wide range of near-field and mid-field monitor cabinets encountered in professional production facilities, post-production suites, and fixed broadcast installations.
