- Aluminum Construction Keeps Weight Low Without Sacrificing Rigidity
The K&M 42040 is built for engineers and production crews who need a reliable surface for a digital mixer at front-of-house or monitor world. Sturdy aluminum construction keeps the stand light enough to carry without sacrificing the rigidity required to hold heavy mixing consoles securely through a full show day. Interlocking braces provide the structural backbone, while non-marring rubber support pads protect both the stand and the equipment resting on it.
Adjustable desk width accommodates a range of console footprints, making this stand practical across multiple mixer models in a rental or touring inventory. The flat-fold design compresses the unit for efficient loading into a trailer or production case stack. For installed sound environments, the stand works equally well as a permanent or semi-permanent surface at a front-of-house position. The combination of aluminum build quality, high load rating, and simple width adjustment puts this stand in a different class than general-purpose keyboard or laptop stands often pressed into mixing duty.
