- Right Angle BNC Connector Accommodates Tight Rear-Panel Clearance On Rack Equipment
- VHF 174-216 MHz Coverage Matches VHF Wireless Receiver Band Requirements
- Straight Whip Form Factor Supports Use In Antenna Distribution Chains
- Lectrosonics-Branded Accessory Ensures Verified Compatibility With VHF Receivers
The Lectrosonics A170AC is a VHF straight whip antenna designed for use with wireless microphone receivers and antenna distribution systems operating in the 174-216 MHz frequency range. Its right angle BNC connector makes it practical for rack-mounted receivers and combiners where rear-panel clearance is limited, allowing the antenna to extend outward without stressing the connector or bending cable runs at awkward angles.
Integrators and RF coordinators working in live sound, broadcast, and installed A/V environments rely on passive whip antennas like the A170AC as the front-end element in antenna distribution chains. When paired with active combiners or distro systems, a matched pair of these antennas provides the spatial diversity needed to minimize dropouts across a venue. The fixed VHF frequency window makes the A170AC appropriate for markets and applications where VHF band assignments remain in use.
Lectrosonics components are specified by engineers who require verified compatibility across a single manufacturer ecosystem. The A170AC is a direct-fit accessory for Lectrosonics VHF receivers, removing guesswork around impedance matching and connector compatibility that comes with third-party antenna substitutions.
