The Lectrosonics ALP690 is built for RF coordinators, sound mixers, and wireless technicians who need reliable antenna performance across demanding location and studio production environments. Its log periodic dipole array design provides a directional pickup pattern that increases forward sensitivity while rejecting interference from above, below, and behind the antenna, giving engineers better RF control in crowded spectrum conditions.

The ALP690 serves dual roles: it operates as an active or passive receiver antenna and as a passive transmitter antenna, making it a flexible asset across a range of wireless setups. When DC bias power is supplied via the coaxial cable from a Venue Series receiver, active multicoupler, or inline BIAS-T, the built-in amplifier compensates for coaxial cable loss with gain adjustable in 1 dB steps. Without power, the antenna reverts automatically to passive operation, requiring no manual switching. Selectable RF filtering between two bandwidth options allows the antenna to serve users operating in different regional frequency allocations.

The antenna structure uses copper traces on glass epoxy laminate, with a skeletal form factor that reduces wind loading for outdoor rigging. The control panel membrane keypad and LED display give technicians on-the-fly adjustment of RF gain, bandwidth, and display brightness. Optional stainless steel mounting hardware expands positioning options for stands, lighting clamps, and photo or video tripods.
