It is compatible with UM series belt packs, newer SM series belt-pack units, and newer SR receivers, making it a practical stock item for touring and broadcast applications where spare antennas are routinely needed.

The hinged joint pivots in both directions, allowing technicians to position the whip at any desired angle relative to the body pack or receiver.
