The Lectrosonics ISO9VOLT is a general-purpose isolated battery eliminator designed for field production engineers and bag system operators who need to run Lectrosonics wireless transmitters from a shared external DC supply without introducing ground loops. When a mixer, receivers, and transmitters share a common battery in a production bag, ground loops are a predictable result, manifesting as high-frequency whine or hiss in the audio chain. The ISO9VOLT breaks that loop by isolating the power ground from the audio ground inside the transmitter through a high-frequency DC-to-DC converter and transformer stage.

Internally, the incoming DC passes through a low-dropout 12V regulator before entering a converter that produces an 800 kHz square wave. That square wave passes through a transformer, is rectified, and then regulated down to a stable 9V DC output presented at the battery contacts. The result is a clean, regulated supply that coexists with the transmitter's normal alkaline or lithium battery operation. The unit is fused and reverse-polarity protected, adding a layer of hardware safety appropriate for unattended bag deployments.

This version ships without a modified battery door and without an external power supply, making it the right choice for integrators who are sourcing doors separately or retrofitting existing hardware. Compatible modified doors are available for both UM-type beltpack and UH-type plug-on transmitters. The ISO9VOLT has been tested exclusively with Lectrosonics transmitter types as specified by the manufacturer. Use outside those tested configurations voids the factory warranty.
