The Lectrosonics ISO9VOLTH is an isolated battery eliminator built for field production engineers and wireless technicians who need to run UH-type plug-on transmitters from an external power source inside a bag system. It slots into the transmitter's 9-volt battery compartment and uses the included H-style modified door, which features a machined hole that exposes the DC input connector while still allowing normal dry-cell battery operation when needed.

The core engineering challenge in bag systems is ground loops. When a mixer, receivers, and transmitters share a common battery rail, the shared ground path introduces high-frequency noise into the audio chain. The ISO9VOLTH addresses this directly by isolating the power ground from the audio ground inside the transmitter. Incoming DC passes through a low-dropout 12-volt pre-regulator, then into a DC-to-DC converter running at 800kHz, through a transformer, rectified, and finally regulated down to a clean 9-volt output at the battery contacts. The result is a floating supply that breaks the ground loop at the source.

Reverse-polarity protection and an internal fuse guard against wiring mistakes in fast-moving location sound environments. This unit has been tested exclusively with compatible Lectrosonics transmitter types and is the correct choice when bag-powering UH-style plug-on transmitters where audio integrity under shared-rail DC power is non-negotiable.
