The Lectrosonics ISO9VOLTM is designed for field production engineers and wireless technicians who need to run UM series belt-pack transmitters from external DC power in bag systems. It accepts 10 to 18 volts DC and converts it to a regulated 9 volts DC delivered directly to the transmitter's battery contacts, eliminating the need for disposable cells during extended shoots or live production workflows where battery management is a liability.

The defining advantage of this unit over standard battery eliminators is its isolated power ground architecture. In bag systems where a mixer, receivers, and wireless transmitters share a common battery supply, ground loops are a persistent problem that introduce high-frequency noise into the audio path. The ISO9VOLTM's DC-to-DC converter topology runs external DC through a low-dropout regulator, generates an 800kHz square wave through a transformer, rectifies it, and passes it through a second low-dropout 9-volt regulator. This approach keeps the power ground completely separate from the audio ground inside the transmitter, eliminating the whine and hiss common to non-isolated designs.

The included M-style battery door is machined with a clearance hole for the external power connector and still accepts standard alkaline or lithium dry cells, so the transmitter remains usable on battery power when needed. The unit is fused and protected against reverse polarity connection. It has been tested exclusively with compatible Lectrosonics transmitter types and is intended for professional use within that ecosystem.
