The Lectrosonics M140 and M152 lavalier microphones are purpose-built for professional speech capture in broadcast, film production, ENG, and installed theater environments. Both models share a low-impedance, low-voltage design compatible with professional wireless transmitter systems, and terminate in a locking micro plug that prevents accidental disconnection during talent movement or fast-paced production scenarios.
Available in cardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns, the two models serve meaningfully different production needs. The cardioid version delivers a directional pickup character suited to controlled studio and stage environments where isolation from ambient noise is a priority. The omnidirectional version offers a wide, flat frequency response augmented by a slight presence lift in the upper octaves, making it well suited to critical broadcast and dialog recording applications where mechanical noise rejection and consistent tonal response are essential.
Both microphones are designed for chest placement at center, as high as practical, to optimize pickup consistency across talent.
