- XLRF To TA5F Wiring Bridges Common Connector Format Mismatch In Wireless Rigs
- 5V Bias On XLR Side Supports Phantom-Powered Source Integration
- Mic-Level Signal Path Maintains Proper Gain Structure To The Transmitter
The Lectrosonics MC60 is a 37-inch adapter cable designed for audio engineers and wireless technicians who need to connect an XLR female mic-level source to a TA5F transmitter input while passing 5V bias voltage on the XLR connector. It is a practical solution for integration work where a phantom-biased XLR feed must interface with Lectrosonics transmitters that accept the TA5F format.
This cable suits field production, broadcast, and theatrical applications where quick, reliable signal routing between mismatched connector formats is required. Engineers should be aware that the 5V bias behavior on the XLR side may produce unexpected results when used with servo bias transmitters. Confirming transmitter compatibility before deployment in critical production environments is recommended.
