Lectrosonics MCA5X TA5F to XLR Adapter For Plug-On Transmitters

The Lectrosonics MCA5X is a purpose-built adapter for audio professionals who need to extend the usability of their existing Lectrosonics lavalier or headset microphone inventory across different transmitter formats. It bridges the TA5F 5-pin connector found on Lectrosonics-wired mics to the XLR male input of Lectrosonics UH and HM plug-on transmitters, including Digital Hybrid 400 Series, 200 Series, and 100 Series models.

Beyond simple signal routing, the MCA5X actively converts the 4.5-volt phantom power supplied by the plug-on transmitter into the DC bias voltage required by Lectrosonics electret microphone capsules. This makes it an essential tool for production mixers, location sound recordists, and wireless technicians who run mixed transmitter setups on set or on stage. Without this conversion, mics wired for a bodypack transmitter will not function correctly on a plug-on unit.
