The Lectrosonics PCA900 is a passive directional dipole antenna designed for professional wireless audio systems operating in the 902-928 MHz and 941-960 MHz bands. Built on FR4 fiberglass with a black solder mask finish, it offers the slim profile and field durability that touring engineers, theater sound teams, and installed AV systems demand. A single PC board trace connects the dipole element to the center conductor of the BNC connector, functioning as an integrated impedance-matching balun that eliminates external components and keeps the form factor compact.

For live production and installed applications alike, the circular top-view radiation pattern means the PCA900 can serve as both a receiving and transmitting antenna without complex orientation planning. It connects directly to transmitters, receivers, or multicouplers via standard 50 ohm coaxial cable through its BNC connector. An included aluminum mounting strap with four screws supports fixed installations with notched bends for horizontal or vertical positioning, while additional mounting options are available for mobile deployments.

Compared to passive whip antennas in the same frequency class, the PCA900 offers a meaningful 3.7 dB gain advantage in a PCB form factor that resists the mechanical wear common in high-cycle touring environments. Placement within line of sight of the transmitter maximizes performance, and the antenna is compatible with standard diversity reception setups to mitigate multipath dropouts in reflective indoor environments.
