The Lectrosonics RK142 is a replacement windscreen designed for use with the M119 lavalier microphone. For engineers working in broadcast, live theater, and corporate AV applications, maintaining clean lav audio means having reliable windscreen stock on hand. Worn or missing windscreens allow breath and ambient wind to reach the capsule directly, introducing low-frequency rumble and plosive noise that degrades otherwise clean recordings.

The RK142 provides a purpose-fit solution for M119 users who need to restore factory windscreen protection without adapting third-party foam. For production teams running multiple wireless lav rigs across a show run or broadcast season, keeping spare windscreens in the kit is standard practice. The RK142 is the correct OEM replacement to ensure proper fit and consistent acoustic performance across every mic in the rig.
