The Lectrosonics SMBATELIM is designed for broadcast engineers, theater audio engineers, and touring production teams who need continuous, uninterrupted power delivery from their SM Series wireless transmitters without relying on AA batteries. By accepting a wide 6 to 36 volt DC input, it integrates cleanly with existing power distribution infrastructure on broadcast carts, theatrical belt packs, or permanently installed wiring runs.

Installation requires no tools or modification to the transmitter. The assembly mounts in place of the standard battery door using the same thumbscrew retention system, and the circuitry occupies the battery compartment in a cylindrical housing sized to fit a standard AA cell. A locking coaxial connector secures the power cable against accidental disconnection, which is critical in live performance and broadcast environments where a lost connection cannot be recovered mid-show.

Dual-battery SM transmitter users are accommodated by a notched panel design that prevents a battery from being trapped in the unused compartment, and a dust and moisture protective insert is included for that compartment. Built-in short circuit and reverse polarity protection guards the transmitter from wiring errors during setup. For any production that runs SM Series transmitters in fixed or semi-fixed positions, the SMBATELIM is a straightforward path to eliminating battery costs and runtime limits.
