The Lectrosonics Variable Power AA Battery Transmitter series targets working sound professionals who need reliable, high-quality wireless transmission in RF-congested environments. Available in single and dual AA battery configurations, these transmitters operate in the 941-960 MHz band and are designed for theatrical productions, broadcast, and live event applications where channel count, battery endurance, and audio fidelity are non-negotiable. The selectable power output lets engineers trade output strength for battery runtime depending on conditions, a practical advantage during long shows or multi-act runs where pack swaps are difficult.

Digital Hybrid Wireless technology encodes audio digitally in the transmitter and decodes it in the receiver while using an analog FM radio link, eliminating compandor artifacts without sacrificing RF spectral compatibility with existing analog wireless infrastructure. The servo bias TA5M input accepts electret lavaliere mics, dynamic mics, and line level signals without external adapters. A DSP-controlled analog limiter with more than 30 dB of range protects the audio chain from overload while remaining acoustically transparent through its dual-release envelope design. Bicolor LEDs give engineers a visual read on modulation level for fast gain staging.

The housing is machined from solid aluminum block, keeping weight low while providing the structural rigidity that touring and broadcast environments demand. A non-corrosive finish resists salt water and perspiration. The water-resistant control panel with LCD and membrane switches allows frequency and gain adjustments without tools. Compatibility with the LectroRM iOS and Android app enables hands-free setup via audible tones, a genuine advantage when transmitters are concealed inside costumes or rigging. The circulator/isolator output stage suppresses RF intermodulation when multiple units operate in close proximity, a critical feature for large-format multichannel deployments.
