The LA-141 expands the reach of Listen Technologies' LT-84 infrared platform for installed assistive listening in worship, theater, convention, and corporate venues. Each radiator adds significant square footage of gap-free IR coverage—up to 2,787 square meters with current-generation LR-4200 and LR-5200 receivers, or 697 square meters with legacy LR-42 and LR-44 units in single-channel mode. System designers can cascade up to four radiators per LT-84 to blanket large sanctuaries, auditoriums, or ballrooms without dead zones or listener dropouts.

Installation is streamlined through the use of standard CAT-5e cabling, which delivers both DC power and dual-channel IR carrier signals to each radiator over a single pull. Daisy-chaining is supported for two radiators per expansion output, with runs up to 100 feet on 24 AWG cable. The included LA-344 flexible mounting bracket adapts to wall, ceiling, or tabletop placement, and an optional LA-347 wall-box plate integrates the radiator into standard electrical rough-in. Onboard controls include a four-position delay compensation switch to time-align multiple radiators and a two-position indicator light toggle for commissioning. Power-save circuitry automatically disables the carrier after 15 minutes of silence to extend emitter life.

Engineered for ADA-compliant assistive listening installations, the LA-141 operates on four selectable carrier frequencies between 2.3 and 3.8 MHz, ensuring compatibility with the full range of Listen Technologies infrared receivers. Dual-channel operation supports simultaneous program audio and interpretation feeds. With THD below 2 percent, SNR greater than 60 dB, and frequency response from 63 Hz to 15 kHz, the system meets speech intelligibility and music reproduction requirements for houses of worship, performing arts centers, and conference facilities.
