The Listen Technologies LT-84 ListenIR transmitter/radiator addresses the ADA compliance and assistive listening needs of courtrooms, boardrooms, classrooms, and houses of worship by delivering twice the IR power and up to six times the coverage area of competing two-channel infrared systems. The integrated radiator design covers up to 2,787 square meters without dropouts, and the system accepts up to four LA-141 expansion radiators via single-cable CAT-5e connections that carry both RF signal and power. This architecture eliminates the need for separate transmitter and radiator components while simplifying large-space installations.

Four selectable carrier frequencies (2.3 MHz, 2.8 MHz, 3.3 MHz, 3.8 MHz) enable integrators to avoid interference in multi-system facilities without stocking frequency-specific hardware. Dual balanced Phoenix inputs, dual RCA unbalanced inputs, and dual 3.5mm mic inputs provide mixing flexibility across installed sound, portable PA, and conferencing applications. The power-save mode automatically disables the carrier after 15 minutes of silence to extend radiator service life, while dual-channel level controls and four-position LED metering maintain optimal signal without clipping.

Universal mounting hardware and a compact 1.5" x 10.7" x 4.1" profile support wall, ceiling, or tabletop placement, and an optional LA-347 plate adapts the unit to standard single-gang electrical boxes for retrofit installations. The included LA-303 multilingual signage, North America Type B power cord, and complete accessory kit enable immediate deployment in commercial and institutional settings.
