The Lowell 10k ohm potentiometer series is built for AV integrators and system designers who need reliable single-point remote level adjustment of voltage-controlled amplifiers. Designed to interface directly with three-wire, 0 to 10 volt control inputs typical on VCA-type amplifiers, these controls allow the amplifier's control voltage to be set or adjusted from a single remote location, eliminating the need for local access to the amplifier itself. This makes the series well suited for installed sound applications in houses of worship, corporate AV environments, classrooms, and multi-zone distributed audio systems where amplifiers are rack-mounted in remote equipment rooms.
The linear taper design provides smooth, predictable level adjustment, while incremental detents give operators a precise, tactile feel during adjustment. Phoenix-style termination accommodates up to 14-gauge wire, and the potentiometer fits standard electrical outlet boxes with a minimum depth of 2.125 inches, making it compatible with typical in-wall installation conditions. The included 1-gang decorator-style wall plate integrates cleanly into architectural environments where a professional finish is required. Available in multiple plate finishes to match the installation environment.
