The Lowell 12P150 is a 12-inch coaxial driver engineered for integrators and sound contractors who need a single-driver solution capable of full-range reproduction in portable or installed PA enclosures. By mounting a high-frequency compression driver directly behind the woofer on a coaxial axis, Lowell achieves a coherent point source with improved efficiency over conventional dome tweeter designs, making it a practical choice for enclosure builders and replacement driver applications where alignment and phase coherence matter.
A built-in crossover network with second-order high-pass and second-order low-pass filters handles frequency division internally, eliminating the need for an external passive crossover when building or servicing a cabinet. The 38 oz. magnet and 2-inch voice coil wound on a Kapton former support the 150W RMS power rating while contributing to the measured 96.3dB average sensitivity. The stamped 18-gauge steel frame with a corrosion-resistant black electrocoat finish provides structural integrity suited to road and install environments.
