The Lowell 12Q250 is a 12-inch coaxial passive portable PA speaker built for sound engineers and production teams who need controlled, wide-pattern coverage in a single-cabinet format. Its coaxial driver arrangement positions the high-frequency compression driver concentrically within the low-frequency driver, ensuring time-aligned output from a single point source. This design is especially practical for smaller touring rigs, house-of-worship installs, corporate AV, and club monitoring where precise imaging and minimal rigging complexity are priorities.

The high-frequency section uses a large-format compression driver with a 38.8 oz. magnet and 1.75-inch voice coil, contributing to both high efficiency and sustained power handling. The low-frequency driver pairs a 77.6 oz. magnet with a 3.0-inch aluminum voice coil for clean bass reproduction. A built-in crossover network handles frequency division internally with a fourth-order high-pass filter and a third-order low-pass filter, removing the need for an outboard crossover and simplifying system deployment. The cast aluminum frame with corrosion-resistant finish ensures this speaker holds up through repeated transport and venue use without degrading structurally.
