The rotary dial spans 0-10 volume positions with 3dB attenuation per step, including two dedicated 6dB steps before the off position, giving end users predictable, graduated control. Phoenix-style plug-in screw termination strips simplify wiring and future serviceability without sacrificing connection integrity. The unit fits a standard electrical outlet box with a minimum depth of 2.5 inches and ships with a 2-gang standard wall plate for a clean, finished installation.
Compared to passive resistive attenuators, the autoformer design avoids the impedance mismatch and frequency response degradation that can compromise system performance in demanding 70V networks.
