The Lowell ACSPR-SEQ6-2009 is a 1U rack-mount power distribution unit built for permanent AV installations where controlled power sequencing, reliable surge protection, and remote system integration are operational requirements. The unit carries a 20A rating and delivers nine 15A NEMA 5-15R outlets: one unswitched front outlet for local test access, two unswitched rear outlets for always-on devices, and six switched rear outlets managed through the four-step sequencer. A front panel rocker switch initiates or shuts down steps 1 through 4 with a user-adjustable delay between 0.5 and 10 seconds per step, protecting amplifiers, processors, and displays from inrush current conflicts during power-up and shutdown.
Remote integration capabilities make this unit well suited for boardrooms, houses of worship, courtrooms, and any install where the AV system must respond to external control. Rear terminal blocks accept momentary remote switches, external triggers, and alarm system inputs including lock-on, lock-off, and switch-lock functions for fire-code-compliant applications. Two dry contact closure outputs at steps 5 and 6 drive external Lowell RPC Series remote power control units, extending sequencing beyond the rack itself.
Advanced Multi-Stage Surge Protection with Triple Clamping Redundant technology suppresses surges up to 72,000A at full capacity, with color-coded LED status indicators alerting technicians when protection has been compromised. TCR surge protection carries a 10-year warranty, adding long-term value in installed environments where replacing a PDU mid-deployment is disruptive and costly.
