The Lowell BSG-8 is a bi-directional wall baffle built for installed audio applications where a single speaker position must cover traffic in both directions, such as airport concourses, hallways, transit corridors, and convention center walkways. By mounting two pre-installed steel grilles on opposite faces of the enclosure, the baffle allows the driver to radiate sound forward and rearward simultaneously, eliminating dead zones without requiring additional speaker drops.
Fabricated from precision-formed 20-gauge steel with welded corners and a white powder epoxy finish, the BSG-8 is built for long-term commercial installation rather than portable or temporary use. The side opening accepts wire routing cleanly, and the enclosure is punched to accept a standard electrical outlet box for fast, code-friendly rough-in. The driver is ordered separately, giving integrators flexibility to spec the transducer that matches system impedance and coverage goals. This baffle is a practical solution for AV integrators who need reliable, low-profile coverage in linear architectural spaces without running conduit to multiple mounting positions.
