The Lowell LBS8 is a galvanized steel tile bridge designed for AV integrators installing ceiling speakers in suspended 2x2 or 2x4 tile grids. By transferring the load of a speaker assembly to the ceiling support structure rather than the tile itself, the LBS8 prevents sagging and preserves the finished appearance of the installation. This is a routine requirement in commercial installs where tile deflection under speaker weight creates both aesthetic and code compliance problems.

The LBS8 accommodates 8-inch drivers and is compatible with screw-mount grilles used with or without a backbox, as well as torsion grilles used with a backbox. Wire holes at each corner support seismic anchoring where required by local building codes, and the Twist 'n Lock system allows hardware-free mounting during installation. The multiple formed ribs across the 24-gauge galvanized steel body provide rigidity without adding unnecessary mass. Sold individually and ordered in multiples of ten, making the LBS8 practical for large-scale commercial and institutional deployments.
