The Lowell LBS8-CP is a ceiling tile bridge designed for AV integrators installing 8-inch screw-mount speakers in suspended 2x2 or 2x4 tile grid ceilings. By transferring the weight of a speaker assembly from the tile face to the ceiling support structure, it prevents tile deformation over time and preserves the finished appearance of commercial and institutional installations.
Tile bridges are frequently mandated by local building codes as a safety measure in occupied spaces, making the LBS8-CP a compliance-critical component in many install projects. The formed 22-gauge galvanized steel construction keeps the bridge lightweight while providing the rigid support needed to handle the combined load of a speaker and backbox.
