The Lowell LCR series is engineered for exactly that application. Each unit ships as a fully-welded assembly, eliminating the alignment and bolt-up time associated with knock-down rack kits. The 16-gauge USA-certified steel frame and 11-gauge corner post rails deliver the torsional rigidity required to support heavy AV equipment in furniture that is moved or serviced over time.
The open-frame design keeps all six sides accessible for cable runs and heat dissipation, which matters in enclosed cabinetry where airflow is restricted. Corner-post mounting rails are tapped 10-32 and punched for wire tie-off, so technicians can dress cables cleanly without adding separate management accessories. Side obrounds provide additional routing paths, and grounding studs at the base and top support proper system grounding from the start. Corner holes and slots allow the rack to be anchored or positioned within the furniture opening, and provisions for anchor bolts are built in so the unit stays put even in high-traffic installations.
The LCR series is available in rack space options from 8U to 14U and in two depths to accommodate different credenza dimensions, giving specifiers flexibility to match the rack to the furniture rather than the other way around. The smooth black powder-coat finish maintains a professional appearance in visible installations, and panel mounting hardware is included. Made in the USA.
