The Lowell LSER series is engineered for AV integrators and system designers working in environments where seismic compliance is a code requirement, not an option. Each rack is fully welded from USA-certified 16-gauge steel with reinforced load-bearing junctions throughout, making it appropriate for hospitals, schools, government facilities, and other essential-systems installations that fall under IBC 2009, CBC 2010, or OSHPD 2010. PE-certified documentation ships with every unit, removing a significant administrative burden for projects requiring formal seismic submittals.
Unlike standard equipment racks that rely on bolted or riveted frames, the LSER's fully welded construction and base corner weldments provide the structural integrity needed to meet both Life Safety/Essential Systems (Ip=1.5) and Anchorage by code (Ip=1.0) seismic categories. The recessed rear door with keyed lock provides security and access control in shared equipment rooms, while multiple knockout panels and lacing points support organized cable management for complex installed-audio and AV systems. An optional front door from the LFD series can be added when full enclosure is required. Available in two depths to accommodate shallow or deep equipment loads.
