The Lowell LSGR Series is engineered for AV system integrators working in seismically active regions where building code compliance is mandatory. Professional engineer certification covers IBC 2009, CBC 2010, and OSHPD 2010 for both Life Safety/Essential Systems (Ip=1.5) and Anchorage by code (Ip=1.0), making these racks appropriate for hospitals, government facilities, broadcast installations, and any project subject to OSHPD or equivalent review. The included PE-certified documentation supports permit submittals and inspection without additional engineering fees.
Construction is fully welded 16-gauge steel with a heavier 14-gauge base, reinforced at every load-bearing junction and corner bracket. Two pairs of fully adjustable rails are tapped 10-32 with RU scale markings, and the configurable top accepts a 12U opening for 19-inch panels. Open sides with X-frame construction provide substantial ventilation and multiple cable routing paths, supported by lacing points, holes, and knockout panels throughout. A recessed rear door with top and bottom vents and a keyed lock secures the back of the rack, while an optional front door from the LFD Series can be added separately. The rack is available in two depths to match equipment and room constraints.
Where generic welded racks fall short on code documentation and load certification, the LSGR Series delivers a complete compliance package alongside a UL Listed load rating and seismic-certified capacity. Pilot point screws with captive washers, a grounding stud, threaded inserts, and beveled corners reflect the practical demands of permanent installation environments where serviceability and long-term reliability matter as much as initial certification.
