This Lowell commercial mixer amplifier series is engineered for integrators and AV professionals deploying single-zone background music and paging systems in commercial environments such as retail, hospitality, houses of worship, and corporate facilities. Each unit combines mixing and amplification in a single 19-inch EIA rackmount chassis, reducing rack space requirements and simplifying system design compared to separate mixer and amplifier components.
The series addresses real-world installation demands with switchable 115/230 VAC at 50/60 Hz plus 24 VDC power input, allowing deployment across varied infrastructure without additional hardware. Five input channels are each switchable between XLR mic and dual RCA AUX inputs, and a dedicated sixth AUX channel with rear level control provides additional source flexibility. A separate telephone input with rear level control mutes all other inputs on activation, making this series well suited for paging and intercom integration. Speaker output options covering 4 ohm, 8 ohm, 25V, and 70V distributed audio configurations support both low-impedance and 70V commercial speaker systems from a single rear screw terminal strip.
System protection features include a rear-panel circuit breaker on the main AC input and a separate circuit breaker on the always-on unswitched AC outlet, reducing service calls in installed environments. Rear preamp outputs and tape outputs enable recording, signal distribution, or external processing without breaking the main signal path. The family is available in 60W, 125W, and 250W output versions to match system scale and coverage requirements.
