The Lowell MIX2 is a commercial-grade mixer and preamplifier built for installed audio applications including corporate paging systems, gymnasiums, houses of worship, and retail environments. It is not a live sound device. It is designed for single-zone deployments where a reliable, permanent solution is needed to mix microphone and background audio sources without complex signal routing.
Six channels each accept a microphone signal via a removable Phoenix connector and a line-level source via RCA, giving installers flexibility to connect both wired mics and playback sources at every input. A seventh AUX-only channel adds a front-panel switch to select between two rear-panel AUX jacks, useful when two background music sources need to share a single channel without rewiring. Priority mute logic lets Channel 1 duck all other channels, or allows Channels 1 through 6 to mute the seventh channel, supporting voice-over paging workflows common in schools and commercial facilities.
A low-cut filter switch reduces bass buildup in reverberant spaces like gyms and doubles as a horn protection filter for trumpet-protection requirements when paging horns are in use. Post-master outputs deliver a balanced line level and a balanced mic level, both on Phoenix connectors, plus an unbalanced main output on dual parallel RCA jacks. A pre-master tape output on dual parallel RCA jacks enables recording or zone feed applications. The steel chassis with black powder epoxy finish mounts to a standard 19-inch rack with included brackets.
