The Lowell MSM2 is designed for AV integrators and system designers who need to extend switching control across multiple locations within installed audio or power distribution systems. Placed between a remote power control unit or 4-step sequencer and up to six or twelve momentary switches, the MSM2 converts normally open momentary contact closures into latching, maintained closures. This allows distributed control points, such as switches in separate rooms or at multiple operator positions, to toggle connected equipment on or off from any location.
The module draws power directly from the host RPC or SEQ-4A unit, eliminating the need for a dedicated external power supply and simplifying rack or enclosure installations. Dual terminal strips accommodate two SPST momentary switches directly, with additional switches added in parallel to reach system capacity. LED indicators provide immediate visual confirmation of system state, a practical benefit during commissioning and daily operation. The MSM2 is well suited for conference rooms, houses of worship, broadcast suites, and any installed AV environment where power sequencing must be accessible from more than one control point.
