The Lowell RPC-30-SHW is a single-outlet remote power control unit designed for AV integrators and installation engineers who need a reliable, intrinsically safe method of switching AC power at a remote location. It accepts a dry contact closure or a 5V-24V AC/DC voltage signal at just 5mA, making it compatible with a wide range of control systems, sequencers, and automation devices without requiring high-voltage control wiring at the trigger point.
Built for permanent installed AV environments, the RPC-30-SHW handles loads up to 30A at 125VAC through a single NEMA L5-30R locking outlet, with the matching L5-30P plug included. The hardwired termination via 6-foot non-metallic flexible conduit suits clean rack and infrastructure installations where a pigtail connection is preferred over a standard plug. Surge suppression rated up to 20,000 adds a layer of protection for connected equipment.
This unit is well suited for control rooms, performance venues, houses of worship, and any installed system where an operator needs to power up or shut down equipment from a separate control point without running high-voltage switching wiring to the operator position. It pairs readily with relay closures from AMX, Crestron, or similar control processors, as well as simple wall-mount switch stations.
