The Lowell USV Series is built for integrators and systems installers who need a reliable, load-rated utility shelf inside a standard 19-inch rack. Available in multiple rack unit heights and depths, the series covers a wide range of installed AV applications, from compact wall-mount enclosures to full-height equipment racks in control rooms, houses of worship, courtrooms, and commercial installations.
The fully vented base promotes airflow around heat-sensitive equipment, a practical advantage in densely populated racks where thermal management is a real concern. Front and rear flanges provide structural support, while multiple tie-off points on the rear flange keep cable runs organized and strain-relieved. The notched rear flange accepts an optional 12-inch power strip, giving integrators a clean, accessible power solution without consuming additional rack space.
Constructed from 16-gauge steel with a smooth black powder epoxy finish, these shelves are built to stay in place under load and resist surface wear over the life of a permanent installation. The 19-inch standard width fits any compliant rack enclosure, and the 17.56-inch useable width accommodates real-world equipment footprints without interference.
