The Lowell VRG-8 is engineered for permanent installed audio in environments where speaker hardware faces intentional or accidental damage. Detention centers, correctional facilities, schools, hospitals, transportation terminals, and manufacturing or distribution centers all present conditions that standard grilles cannot withstand. The VRG-8 addresses that directly with a cast aluminum outer grille backed by a secondary galvanized steel perforated barrier, giving drivers two layers of mechanical protection without sacrificing audio transmission.
For AV integrators and facilities engineers specifying installed audio in hardened environments, the VRG-8 eliminates the need for custom fabrication or aftermarket security hardware. The included stainless steel Torx tamper-resistant mounting bolts and Allen wrench ship with the unit, so the installation kit is complete out of the box.
