The open-frame construction mounts directly to a wall or backboard on 16-inch centers, making it well suited for classrooms, conference rooms, server closets, and telecom rooms where floor space is limited. It accommodates standard 19-inch rack equipment including patch panels, managed switches, routers, and AV distribution gear.

Heavy-gauge steel construction throughout separates this series from lighter-duty alternatives. The top and base are 14-gauge steel, and the corner post rails are 11-gauge steel tapped 10-32, providing the thread engagement that production installs demand. Obround cutouts in the top and base allow cable routing without add-on accessories, keeping the installation clean and serviceable. Upper and lower front vents support passive airflow for equipment that generates heat.

The WXR series is offered in multiple rack space and depth configurations to match the density and equipment profile of the install.
