The Mackie Thump12v4 is a portable powered PA speaker built for working musicians, DJs, event crews, and general live sound users who need straightforward setup and flexible operation. Its built-in mixer accepts microphones, controllers, playback devices, keyboards, and pedalboards, making it practical for small performances, announcements, parties, rehearsals, and mobile event production. Bluetooth streaming adds cable-free playback from a phone or tablet, while Bluetooth speaker linking supports stereo, zone, or dual mono configurations.
For users who move between different jobs, the Thump12v4 offers application-based voicing modes that help adapt the speaker to speech, music playback, live vocals, and floor monitoring. Wireless control through the Thump Connect 2 app allows adjustment from across the room, which is useful during setup or when checking coverage in audience areas. The XLR mix output supports simple daisy-chaining to another speaker, and Bluetooth audio can pass through that output alongside analog sources.
This model also supports portable and installed workflows. Premium metal handles make load-in easier, while integrated M10 fly points allow suspended mounting when required. For expanded low-frequency systems, it can be pole-mounted above compatible Thump series subwoofers using the appropriate accessory pole.
