The LD Systems LDS-MAILAARRAYRCXXL is a dedicated rain cover for flown LD Systems MAILA array configurations. Designed for outdoor event use, it protects one MAILA COL and up to eight MAILA SAT modules, while remaining suitable for shorter arrays when needed. Its rain-repellent construction helps shield the system during exposed operation without preventing practical access to key controls and connections.
A detachable transparent window allows visibility and access at the control and connection panel while supporting ventilation around the amplifier unit. This is especially important in live production environments where weather protection must be balanced with ongoing system operation. At the rear, the cover opens with Velcro so modules can be mounted and the tilt angle adjusted without fully removing the cover.
The front section uses impregnated acoustic fabric to support clear sound transmission, making it better suited to active outdoor reinforcement than a standard protective cover. As part of the MAILA modular rain-cover system, it can also be combined with matching covers for more tailored protection across different array layouts. For comprehensive overhead weather protection, LD Systems specifies the MAILA HOOD RC L for shielding against water entering from above.
