The LD Systems LDS-MAILASUB is the foundation of a MAILA system, combining a powered 2x15" subwoofer format with a high-output bandpass enclosure built for professional live sound deployment. Its planar wave bandpass concept uses a quarter-wave horn approach and symmetrical driver placement to support strong low-frequency impact with controlled, precise response. For production companies, rental inventories, and event providers building scalable array systems, this model is designed to serve as the low-end anchor in both vertical and horizontal MAILA configurations.
An integrated 2-channel Class D amplifier delivers 2500 W RMS, while SysCore DSP provides onboard processing and preset-based system optimization. Cardioid presets help reduce rear sound radiation when deployment conditions call for better stage rejection or tighter audience coverage control. Setup and tuning can be handled directly on the enclosure or through the free MAILA app for iPadOS, with LogoLink wireless connectivity built into the cabinet branding for a clean exterior design.
The enclosure uses 18 mm birch multiplex construction with a polyurea coating for road-ready durability. Four bass reflex ports are designed to support airflow efficiency in either orientation, and six handles assist with load-in and strike. Optional accessories mentioned for transport include the MAILA SUB CB castor board and a protective cover.
