The Martin Lighting MAC Encore Wash CLD is engineered for lighting designers and production teams who demand critical light quality in touring, broadcast, and permanent installation environments. Developed as a direct LED-based successor to the MAC Viper Wash DX, this soft edge moving head produces a neutral 6000 K daylight output from a 468 W custom Martin LED engine, making it a capable drop-in replacement for HMI-based Fresnel fixtures while adding CMY color mixing and motorized zoom in the same package. Available in EPS and SIP packaging variants, and in black or white housing finishes, the fixture adapts to a wide range of production and installation contexts.

For broadcast and camera-intensive productions, the LED driver operates at a frequency that eliminates flicker across all camera frame rates and shutter angles. Color temperature holds consistent throughout the full zoom and dimming range, removing the color drift that plagues conventional dimming sources. A variable CTO system extends CCT control from daylight to tungsten, and tungsten red-shift emulation in the dimming curves preserves the visual warmth that engineers expect from traditional sources. The Animotion FX system delivers internal dimming macros for mid-air and projection effects without external processing.

For installed and touring environments where background noise is a concern, the combined convection and forced-air cooling system operates at user-selectable output versus sound level settings, allowing the fixture to run quietly in theater or corporate environments while scaling up for outdoor productions. Three-phase stepper motors with absolute position monitoring deliver precise, repeatable pan and tilt positioning at 540 degrees and 268 degrees respectively. The internal barndoor system with two independently controllable blades, full-rotation iris, and 24-channel DMX control over USITT DMX512-A and ANSI/ESTA E1.20 RDM provides the level of precision control that production and installation professionals require.
