The Martin Lighting VDO Fatron 20 is a static LED wash bar engineered for lighting designers and production teams who require tight pixel-level color and brightness consistency across large surface arrays. Built on an extruded aluminum profile with a matte black finish, the fixture is sized for practical deployment on stage, architectural facades, and permanent installs where uniformity across multiple units is non-negotiable. Full gamut pixel calibration ensures that colors are matched with other VDO family products, allowing Fatron bars to blend seamlessly alongside VDO Sceptron and VDO Dotron fixtures in mixed deployments.

Control flexibility is a core advantage. The fixture operates natively under Martin P3 via a combined power and data cabling system, supports direct USITT DMX512-A, and enables real-time toggling between DMX, PixelMapping, and VideoMapping through the P3 Switch channel. This hybrid approach means a LD can adapt the fixture to the control infrastructure on hand without rewiring or hardware swaps. Addressing and mapping are handled intuitively through the P3 System Controller, with RDM compliance adding remote configuration capability for installers working in complex rigs.

Available in two lengths, the VDO Fatron 20 suits everything from tight architectural accents to wide scenic washes. Nine optical accessories, including multiple diffuser profiles and a narrow lens array, clip directly onto the fixture body and are fully field-exchangeable, so a touring crew can adjust beam character at the venue without tools. IP65 protection and a wide ambient temperature operating range make the fixture reliable outdoors and in demanding production environments where exposure and thermal stress are everyday realities.
